
Al-Quds Newspaper published an extensive report covering the first academic conference organized by the College of Dual Studies at Palestine Polytechnic University (PPU), titled “The Reality, Challenges, and Prospects of Dual Studies.”The event brought together ministers, leading academics, private sector representatives, supporting institutions, university faculty, and students.

The Minister of Industry, Mr. Arafat Asfour, also addressed the audience, stressing the role of academia-industry partnerships in shaping responsive academic programs. The President of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce, Mr. Abd Idrees, praised PPU’s efforts in preparing students for the workforce through hands-on training in companies.
University President Dr. Mustafa Abu Safa emphasized that PPU remains committed to developing academic programs aligned with market needs and considers dual education a cornerstone for student employability and educational excellence.
The conference featured three key panel discussions. The first addressed the challenges facing dual and higher education amidst ongoing crises. The second focused on sustainability and quality assurance mechanisms. The third panel explored how dual studies can serve as a bridge to meet the evolving demands of the private sector.
The event also included a success story from a student in the Dual Studies program, as well as an exhibition showcasing projects and practical work carried out by students in cooperation with industry partners.
