
As part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen international partnerships and support dual studies programs, Palestine Polytechnic University (PPU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with DHBW University – Mannheim Campus, Germany. The MoU was signed remotely by PPU President Dr. Mustafa Abu Safa, while Dr. Mousa Arfayeh, Dean of the College of Dual Studies, represented the university during the official signing ceremony. On behalf of DHBW, the agreement was signed by the President of DHBW University, Dr. Martina Klaric, and the President of DHBW Mannheim, Dr. George Nagler.
This memorandum reflects PPU’s commitment to expanding cooperation with international higher education institutions that implement the dual studies model. It aims to foster the development of joint training programs and the exchange of expertise in dual education.
DHBW is recognized as Germany’s oldest university operating under the dual studies system and maintains partnerships with over 9,000 companies. This MoU is expected to enhance internship opportunities for students from the College of Dual Studies in Germany, contributing to their professional growth and preparation for both local and international labor markets.
The agreement is the result of collaborative international networking efforts between the German Development Cooperation (GIZ) and the College of Dual Studies at Palestine Polytechnic University.
