Palestine Polytechnic University (PPU) is set to host its academic conference titled “The Reality, Challenges, and Prospects of Dual Studies” on February 3, 2025, at 9:30 AM, at the university’s campus in Hebron.
Organized by the College of Dual Studies, the event aims to highlight the innovative educational model that merges theoretical learning with practical training, inspired by the German dual education system. The conference will bring together key stakeholders from academia, government, industry, and development organizations to explore strategies for strengthening ties between education and the labor market.
Three panel sessions will take place during the conference:
1. Challenges of Dual and Higher Education Amid Crises
2. Ensuring Quality and Sustainability
3. Dual Studies as a Bridge to Private Sector Needs
The conference also outlines four key motivations for attendance:
• Strengthening collaboration with the private sector
• Enabling companies to discover emerging talents
• Discussing curriculum improvements to meet market demands
• Enhancing international partnerships
Through this initiative, PPU seeks to provide strategic insights and build sustainable partnerships that empower students and ensure their readiness for the job market.
